Special Educational Needs and Disability provision at Chapmanslade Primary
At Chapmanslade Primary we ensure that all children have equal opportunity to reach their potential.
Our school site is fully accessible to wheelchairs via selected entrances and we have disabled access toilets. We do not have additional facilities for children with complex needs (such as a physiotherapy room, a shower room, etc).
Through Acts of Collective Worship, our PSHE Curriculum, our school visits and extra curricula clubs, and across the curriculum as a whole we enable all our pupils equal access to the curriculum and to foster their sense of equality, treating others with fairness, understanding and acceptance.
We offer a wide range of SEND provision as required by each and every individual child. We work closely with local schools, outside support agencies through the Wiltshire SENSS service, and other national agencies.
However, if our current provision does not match the needs of a new pupil, or the developing needs of a current pupil, we will work with other schools, outside support agencies and Wiltshire Local Authority to ensure that our provision is improved.
