Off Site Learning

We often take pupils off the school site in order to support and enhance our broad curriculum. All off site visits must have an educational benefit, be risk assessed in line with the School’s Learning Outside the Classroom policy, and be approved by the head teacher.

For individual school trips, and sporting events that take place beyond normal school hours, we always ask your permission.

However, when routine off-site learning takes place within the school day and at no cost to parents, your permission is assumed.

This list is not exhaustive but typical examples include –

  • sporting events organised through our School Games partnership
  • going to church (next door to the school)
  • swimming lessons
  • visiting the Mobile Library Service

If you have any questions about this policy please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or to Mrs McCall in the school office.
