Home Learning at Chapmanslade
At Chapmanslade, we want our pupils to focus on two key areas at home - reading and practising number facts/times tables. Inkeeping with our behaviour policy, we celebrate pupils who go above and beyond with their learning at home.
Reading
We hope that children are reading at home every day and encourage this. Across the school, we expect three adult signatures per week in a pupil's reading record. Children may read to an adult, or an adult may ask them about what they have read for their homework.
Number Facts / Times Tables
Rapid recall of number facts and times tables facts is imperative to help children achieve their full potential in maths.
We encourage pupils to practise these at home as much as possible.
Pupils are able to use Times Tables Rock Stars (KS2) or Numbots (KS1) to help them practise at home as well as in school.
