At Chapmanslade School, the children are at the centre of everything we do.
We are committed to ensuring that all our pupils have the opportunity to flourish and thrive. As an inclusive school, we recognise that all children are unique and that some may have different learning needs.
Through a Graduated Response process, we can support children through their learning journey. Through early intervention, we are able to identify need and put appropriate strategies, targets and possibly, a SEN Passport in place. We may liaise with outside agencies if necessary and we would always work in partnership with the parents.
Some children may also be in receipt of an Educational Health Care Plan from the relevant Local Authority (based on the pupil’s home address), which the school will also monitor and support.
Mrs Graham is the school’s SENCo, who visits the school for half a day each week. She can be contacted at senco@chapmanslade.wilts.sch.uk.
As Chapmanslade teaches pupils who live in mulitple Local Authority areas, depending on the level of support required, advice may vary. Please see below for Wiltshire and Somerset's Local Offers.
A Local Offer provides information and guidance on services for children and young people, aged 0-25, with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
